Back when scouts roamed freely around camp, we looked at several sites in Delmont for our Troop to adopt. After touring most of the campsites the scouts and adults agreed Mohawk offered the most promise. This weekend along with the one in May will start our work on transforming a forgotten, unwanted campsite into the premier site for tent partner open fire cooking.
Scouts will need work gloves. The extent of the work will be determined once the snow melts, but may include moving trees, logs, rocks, tent platforms, etc. Gear should be packed for a short hike to the site. Individual cooking.
There is no cost to this trip. Please just turn in a signed permission slip by March 23rd.
